Serving Others on MLK Day

February 1, 2018

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day more than 100 Wawa associates joined City Year Philadelphia— one of our regional partners at Wawa and the Wawa Foundation—along with more than 1,000 other volunteers for a day of service to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The group painted murals and completed light construction projects for more than 1,000 students of Frankford High School in Philadelphia.  Our volunteers were delighted to be able to give back to the community and help create bright, welcoming new spaces at Frankford high School for the students, faculty and community during this day of service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
