IMMs manage in-store inventory and work to maximize sales by reviewing performance and analyzing sales trends. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in all store operations. Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance and goals and objectives is what our AGMs do, along with managing the in-store team.
The Accelerated Career Entry Position (ACE) is responsible for his or her own development and for completing the required training within a six to nine month period in order to be eligible to apply for a General Manager position. The ACE Manager will support the General Manager in the management of the entire store's operations.

How long have you been with Wawa? A little over 2 years. When I left college with a degree in Business Management, I knew I wanted to work in retail. I began working at a 'big box' retailer, but really felt like something was missing. That's when I left and came to Wawa. I've never looked back.
Can you describe a typical day? I really enjoy my days. I'm able to interact one-on-one with our customers, and I'm also a big part of running the business. It's nice to be able to be part of both pieces.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Interacting with the employees and helping them develop. Watching members of the team get promoted that I've mentored is incredibly rewarding.
Describe the "Wawa Experience". Living the Wawa values through our interactions with people.
In your opinion, what sets Wawa apart from other employers? The amount of opportunity that is available. If you are willing to work for it, you can go anywhere. There are so many options - within stores, in corporate and even as part of Wawa's expansion. I've found there is more opportunity at Wawa than anywhere else.
What advice could you offer to potential Wawa Associates, either regarding your job or working at Wawa? Make sure you can delight customers every day, in whatever it is that you do, because delighting customers is the key to you doing a good job.
When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I've recently relocated and am also recently engaged, so between the two, and spending time with my wonderful fiance, my free time is well spent.
How long have you been working at Wawa? 11 years! I was hired as a temporary employee in 1999 and I've never looked back!
Can you describe a typical day? The focus of my job is to execute the strategies that will ensure we achieve the gross profit budget for PM Foods. No day is truly typical. As a company, we work very collaboratively. Daily meetings can include collaborating with our vendor partners, working with representatives from many different functional areas of the company, and working with the PM Foods team as well as the larger Foodservice team. Communication is a very important part of the day, whether that is via email, phone or written presentations. There is also a large analytical component to the typical day, reviewing sales and profit data, comparing the data to budget as well as inventory planning for promotions. Lastly, project planning is a key element, ensuring that key milestones are met for all active projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy so many aspects of my job. It's never boring; every day presents a new challenge or project. I enjoy building relationships with associates throughout the entire company. I also have had the good fortune to love my job and the people with whom I work.

When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my husband, Tony and 3 year old son, Evan.
Can you describe a typical day at Wawa? I work with the team on process improvements and helping to guide the development of future projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I like that my job is both flexible and full of opportunities every day. I enjoy decision making, managing and working with people, involvement with technology.
Describe the "Wawa Experience". I have a great career in Wawa. I was able to manage my life with kids and progress through my career. Our business is becoming more complex and I am proud to be part of it.
In your opinion, what sets Wawa apart from other employers? Wawa is family-oriented and offers a flexible work environment, with lots of opportunity to grow.
When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I have two kids and enjoying spending my free time with them, as well as shopping and decorating our home.
Can you describe a typical day? The days go fast and there's never a 'typical' day. Always something different and something to keep you busy. I enjoy working with my team and interacting with the customers.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy the family atmosphere at Wawa. They truly care about not only their customers, but also their associates.
In your opinion, what sets Wawa apart from other employers? Wawa really values people. If you choose Wawa for a career, you can enjoy training and benefits that really are unmatched within the retail space. Their treatment of their associates, promotion from within, employee stock ownsership are really above and beyond what you'll find anywhere else.
What advice could you offer to potential Wawa Associates, either regarding your job or working at Wawa? If you aren't afraid of some hard work, then Wawa may be the place for you. It is a very rewarding job.
When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I'm an animal lover and I own and raise a therapy dog. In my free time, you can find me taking my therapy dog to visit local hospitals and other institutions.
