    Wawa Announces Progress on Repairing and Reopening Stores Impacted by Hurricane Sandy

    Wawa's Seven Impacted Stores to be Renovated and Reopened by Spring of 2013, Innovations Feature Wawa's Newest Design Prototype
    Wawa Inc., today announced that the seven stores still closed due to Hurricane Sandy's impact, will reopen by spring of this year.  Wawa teams have been working to reopen these stores, completely renovating and rebuilding them in some cases, and most will now feature Wawa's newest design prototype.  Six of the stores are expected to all resume operations by the end of March, 2013.

    $10,000 In Honorariums to be Awarded for 2013 Environmental Community Service Award

    Now in its eight year, the Annual Environmental Community Service Award will once again be presented by Wawa, NBC 10, and the environmental law firm Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP (MGKF).  The goal of the Environmental Community Service award is to raise awareness of environmental concerns and to recognize schools (6th grade or higher) in the Delaware Valley for their efforts in environmental service projects that enhance and improve the quality of life in their communities.

    Wawa supports American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region with Record Number of Donations During 2011

    The American Red Cross recognized Wawa on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 as the number one Corporate Sponsor for their support of the Red Cross blood program during 2011. Wawa’s efforts over the last year helped generate more than 4,700 units of blood being donated to the American Red Cross. That’s over 4,700 units of blood that helped to provide a second chance for more than 14,200 hospital patients across the region.

    Wawa Provides Red Cross Support with Fall Blood Drives

    Fall Schedule Includes More Than 38 Blood Drives Open to the Public

    This fall give blood at more than 38 Wawa sites throughout the company and join our efforts to help the American Red Cross save lives.  From October 3rd through November 30th, Wawa will be hosting blood drive sites in four of their operating states: PA, NJ, MD, and VA.  The American Red Cross is urging all eligible donors to donate blood now to help increase blood supplies, which are currently critically low and patients are at risk for not receiving the blood transfusions they need. Recent weather conditions experienced across the nation is a contributing factor to the shortage. Please consider donating blood at a Wawa Blood Drive this fall.
