Inventory Merchandise Managers (IMMs) manage in-store inventory and work to maximize sales by reviewing performance and analyzing sales trends. They also lead the training and coaching of Customer Service Associates and are there to ensure we deliver exceptional customer service. This management position works for both new and experienced managers in retail who exhibit excellent leadership ability. The IMM position is bonus eligible.

The Fresh Food Manager (FFM) runs our extensive built-to-order food and Specialty Beverage offerings. It is essential in this role to ensure that food quality, safety and proper food handling procedures are being followed by our food service staff. A hands-on approach and people leadership skills are important to ensure our food service associates provide the most appetizing and customer-friendly offer. The FFM position is bonus eligible.
Do you love the idea of working outdoors while also leading a team? That is what our fuel managers do on daily basis! As a Fuel Manager you are responsible for maintaining the Fuel Operations side of the business.
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is the primary leadership support for the General Manager for all store operations (perhaps refining his/her skills for the day when they assume the General Manager position). Our AGMs help the team exceed the store's performance goals and objectives. They are also responsible for running meetings, preparing work schedules, and managing the store team, all with a very hands-on, customer service–oriented approach. The AGM position is bonus eligible.
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall operations and is leader of a Wawa store. The GM will select, develop and effectively lead a highly engaged team to ensure exceptional customer experience that supports our vision to become “fast casual to go with world class convenience.” All store GMs are trained internally before taking over an individual store operation to prepare them for the challenge. GMs are salaried and eligible for a monthly bonus based upon store performance.

How long have you been with Wawa? A little over 2 years. When I left college with a degree in Business Management, I knew I wanted to work in retail. I began working at a 'big box' retailer, but really felt like something was missing. That's when I left and came to Wawa. I've never looked back.
Can you describe a typical day? I really enjoy my days. I'm able to interact one-on-one with our customers, and I'm also a big part of running the business. It's nice to be able to be part of both pieces.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Interacting with the employees and helping them develop. Watching members of the team get promoted that I've mentored is incredibly rewarding.

In your opinion, what sets Wawa apart from other employers? The amount of opportunity that is available. If you are willing to work for it, you can go anywhere. There are so many options - within stores, in corporate and even as part of Wawa's expansion. I've found there is more opportunity at Wawa than anywhere else.
What advice could you offer to potential Wawa Associates, either regarding your job or working at Wawa? Make sure you can delight customers every day, in whatever it is that you do, because delighting customers is the key to you doing a good job.
When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I've recently relocated and am also recently engaged, so between the two, and spending time with my wonderful fiance, my free time is well spent.
How long have you been working at Wawa? 14 years! I was hired as a temporary employee in 1999 and I've never looked back!
Can you describe a typical day? The focus of my job is to execute the strategies that will ensure we achieve the gross profit budget for PM Foods. No day is truly typical. As a company, we work very collaboratively. Daily meetings can include collaborating with our vendor partners, working with representatives from many different functional areas of the company, and working with the PM Foods team as well as the larger Foodservice team. Communication is a very important part of the day, whether that is via email, phone or written presentations. There is also a large analytical component to the typical day, reviewing sales and profit data, comparing the data to budget as well as inventory planning for promotions. Lastly, project planning is a key element, ensuring that key milestones are met for all active projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy so many aspects of my job. It's never boring; every day presents a new challenge or project. I enjoy building relationships with associates throughout the entire company. I also have had the good fortune to love my job and the people with whom I work.

What advice could you offer to potential Wawa Associates, either regarding your job or working at Wawa? Wawa rewards hard work and dedication. I was hired as a temporary employee in 1999 and I am very appreciative to be here 14 years later doing a job that I love.
When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my husband, Tony and 6 year old son, Evan.
Can you describe a typical day at Wawa? I work with the team on process improvements and helping to guide the development of future projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I like that my job is both flexible and full of opportunities every day. I enjoy decision making, managing and working with people, involvement with technology.
Describe the "Wawa Experience". I have a great career in Wawa. I was able to manage my life with kids and progress through my career. Our business is becoming more complex and I am proud to be part of it.

When you're not at Wawa, what can we find you doing? I have two kids and enjoying spending my free time with them, as well as shopping and decorating our home.
